Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic industrial maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and performance of mechanical systems across our facility. This includes routine maintenance, technical troubleshooting, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to support smooth and safe plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve mechanical failures to minimize downtime
- Lead and execute system upgrades, retrofits, and engineering improvements
- Review and develop technical documents, drawings, and maintenance procedures
- Ensure all mechanical work is carried out in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with other departments to support operational needs and planned shutdowns
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, failures, and maintenance activities
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance teams and junior engineers
- Participate in procurement specifications and evaluation of mechanical components
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and plants maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and drive systems (gearboxes, couplings, bearings, etc.)
- Familiarity with piping systems (CS, SS, GRP, PP, etc.)
- Experience with heavy industrial and Terminals equipment and processing plants preferred (Cranes, RTG’s, Ship loaders, etc.).
- Working knowledge of industrial safety systems and maintenance best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Physically fit and able to work in challenging industrial environments
- Hands-on technical skills (e.g., welding, insulation, alignment) are a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial, manufacturer or fertilizer sector, Terminals experience preferred.
